Join UCLA English for a conversation featuring Carmen E. Lamas, Associate Professor of English and American Studies at the University of Virginia. Professor Lamas will be in conversation with UCLA English and Chicana/o Studies Professor Marissa López to discuss the temporal, geographic, ideological, and speculative archives that emerge from the study of nineteenth-century Latina/o texts and how these texts invite scholars to navigate and imagine different methodological approaches and archival formations.
