Jeffrey Janis

Peace Corps Campus Recruiter

Jeffrey has an B.A. in Psychology from The George Washington University and a M.B.A. with a focus in non-profit management from the American Jewish University. He has worked in the non-profit sector for more than 30 years focusing most of his career on major gifts fundraising and has raised more than $60,000,000. He became a Peace Corps Volunteer at age 44 and served in Ukraine. He is an avid traveller and has been to more than 50 countries.

Elizabeth Warren, UCLA ’18

Hispanic Languages and Literatures Ph.D

Elizabeth Warren is an Assistant Adjunct Professor in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at UCLA. She completed her PhD in Hispanic Languages and Literature in June 2018. Prior to arriving at UCLA, Elizabeth studied English, Spanish, and American Studies at Indiana University, Bloomington, and then lived and worked in Granada, Spain.

Jenny Lee, UCLA 19′

Higher Education and Organizational Change Ph.D Candidate

Jenny Jong-Hwa Lee is a doctoral candidate in the Higher Education and Organizational Change program at the UCLA Graduate School of Education & Information Studies. Her research is on cross-border education in South Korea, where she has lived for a total of nine years since graduating from UCLA  with a double major in Sociology and Communication Studies. She has worked as an English teacher, curriculum developer, and education administrator in Seoul, South Korea

Kelly Zuniga, UCLA 10′

Exchange Visitor Counselor, UCLA 

In her role as Exchange Visitor Counselor at UCLA, Kelly has the pleasure of providing J-1 visa services and acculturation support to UCLA’s international student and scholar population. Her international experience includes teaching English in Japan through the JET program and assisting in program design and assessment at the Middlebury C.V. Starr School in Paris, France.

Shannon Yu

Fellowships Coordinator,

UCLA Graduate Division

Shannon graduated from UC Riverside, majoring in Asian American Studies with a minor in Economics. During her undergraduate career, she studied abroad for a semester in South Korea. Upon graduation, Shannon moved to Hong Kong for a few years to teach ESL/phonics, and had a short term stay (4 months) in Paris, France, where she studied French Patisserie (baking) before moving back to the states. Currently, Shannon work as a fellowships analyst in Graduate Division.

Andrew Bottom

Program Coordinator, UCLA Summer Travel Study

Andrew works at the UCLA International Education Office (IEO) where he coordinates short-term faculty led study abroad trips during the summer. Prior to working at IEO, Andrew spent six years as the Programs and Marketing Coordinator at the UCLA Dashew Center for International Students and Scholars. Andrew graduated with a Bachelors in Mass Communication from Washington State University and a Masters in Speech Communication from CSU Fullerton. During undergrad Andrew studied abroad in Cordoba, Argentina.
