UCLA’s Department of Spanish and Portuguese seeks a temporary Visiting or Assistant Adjunct Professor in contemporary Latin American/U.S. Latino literature, with an emphasis in science fiction, fiction, and other related genres. Tentative teaching assignments will include three sections of an undergraduate core course on the structure of the literary work and upper-division electives in the areas of Latin American/U.S. Latino literatures. This is a one-year appointment.

Requirements: Ph.D. in hand, native or near-native fluency in Spanish, evidence of excellence in teaching in the appropriate field and strong research potential. The appointment will be effective July 1, 2016.
