Join UCLA English for a reading featuring Leanne Betasamosake Simpson. Leanne will read from her new novel, Noopiming: The Cure for White Ladies, released last year by the University of Minnesota Press. Leanne is a Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg scholar, writer, musician and member of Alderville First Nation.  She has released four albums including f(l)ight and Noopiming Sessions, and her new work, the Polaris short-list, Theory of Ice. Her latest book, co-authored with Robyn Maynard and entitled Rehearsals for Living, is forthcoming from Haymarket Books in June 2022. The reading will be followed by a Q & A moderated by UCLA English professor Ho’esta Mo’e’hahne.
