Community Building Small Grants AY 23-24

Thanks to the generosity of UC Humanities Research Institute, the Division of Humanities has an opportunity create a short term fund to increase faculty and student interactions around scholarship and professionalization in the departments. As we look at what does it mean to be back on campus post unprecedented events of the last few years ( COVID and Labor Strike), the Division would like to facilitate a department’s opportunity to further create and strengthen community. Awards will be in the amount of $500- $4,000 depending on scope of proposed activities, and availability of funds. Please note we will accept one application per department so the proposal must have Department Chair approval, and a lead faculty willing to serve as organizer/ liaison. More details on requirements can be found below.

Applications will be due by October 6th, 2023 with announcements of awards by end of October 2023.
